I’ve been to lots of places around the world. There are places (resorts, hotels, restaurants, etc.) around the Philippines which are comparable (quality of facilities, service, food, ambience, etc.) but these are quite expensive. I suggest local operators target local travelers more with better facilities, services and marketing and price these accordingly.
In my travels around the Philippines. I have encountered more Filipinos than I have foreigners. Unfortunately, when local operators see that I am a Filipino, they assume that I will settle for less than what they offer foreigners. I do not. In fact, I find it extremely insulting. And by experience, I , in turn, become extremely demanding!
I will always want the best for the money I pay. Be it cheap or expensive. After all, it’s my money. I have been to a few resorts in Laguna and none have impressed me. I can’t even write about my disgusting experience.
Small hotels and resorts around Laguna should FIRST group together, benchmark their facilities and services, and keep to a quality standard (especially regarding cleanliness, hygiene, and employee service), before they keep their eyes on how much profit they can make.

Thank you for this list but it will be truly helpful if each of the list when “clicked” will show its website. One has no idea which one to refer to with only the name of resort and contact number. I’m looking for a private house/ pool for our friend’s reunion with our families. How do I get to pin down which one I would like to choose from? I can’t, if I just have to refer to your list. The Boracay listing would show also the websites when you click the hotel name, and from their websites one can now compare rates, facilities, etc, that suits the traveller’s needs.
Thank you anyway, but the list does not help me. I now need to see other websites that shows more info.
