Nowadays, many filipino’s are into photography! Some of them wants it to be a hobby and some wants to be a freelance photographers. Anywhere you go, you can see a person or two holding his/her DSLR camera taking pictures of their friends, loved ones, landscapes and any subject they see amusing.

We all know DSLR camera is much expensive than the digital point and shoot camera. A DSLR camera with kit lens will cost you thousands of pesos and also for the lenses and other accessories. So you may wonder on where you can buy cheap DSLR camera in the philippines? If you’re looking for a DSLR but you don’t have a big budget then Hidalgo st. in Quiapo is the perfect place for you. Unlike Malls in Manila, the camera and accessories are way up high compared to Hidalgo. I remember when I was looking for a new DSLR at the SM Mall Of Asia. The price of a Nikon d3000 cost at P38,000 compare to Hidalgo particularly at Mayer camera store that cost only P27,500. It was a huge savings for me and I even bought some accessories for my cam.     d3000 is worth P21,800 sa mayers. kagagaling ko lang. yung katabing photo store( di ko alam name eh, basta pinasok ko lang at nag inquire ^_^) P22,000. ang d5000 is worth 48k pa rin. nagulat ako sa price ng d3000, makes me think kung gray sya…

    magnikon d90 ka na. i bought my nikon d90 body only for 34k sa quiapo. ang d3000 with kit lens e nsa 21k + na lang. yan gamit ko cam bago ako ngd90.okay naman siya.

    @peejay, welcome! ang hanap kasi ng iba e mura or un kaya ng budget then after a month or two saka sila magsisisi kasi un iba features e wala dun sa nabili nila. wag na sana magtaka kasi un price na yun e built for that model kaya nga tinawag na entry level. kung gusto mo high end e malaking pera pero kung newbie ka pa lang e okay na un abot kaya. sabi nga ng mga photogs na nakakausap ko, wala yan sa model ng cam nsa photog pa din yan! :-)

    sa mayer at henry’s sa quiapo e 34k body lang. kung bibili ka e un ang kasama na e 18-105mm pra sulit na kesa bumili k p ng 55-200mm kung kit lens isasama mo. gamit ko sa d90 ko e 35mm lang solve na ako.anjan po numbers sa taas,pakitawagan na lang sa mga nagtatanong ng prices.

    just bought a nikon d90 from a store in a mall. upon checking meticulously on my so called brand new 48k unit, I noticed that the screws were tampered, both on the body and lens as well. the next day, i returned it to the store and demanded a refund. beware of buying units with store only warranty. you will never be sure its never been tampered.remember, when ur unit bogs down, you will surely bring it back to them coz ur warranty is with them. if they see non original parts inside. they wont say a thing, coz theyre expecting it. one tip is to look very closely on the screws esp on the lens. it should be painted in black. any white or scratch on these screws should be a concern.look very carefully as well on the boxes. demand new stocks and you be the one to open upon buying.look at the seal as well as the opening at the bottom coz, the box could be opened at the bottom without them tampering with the seal.i hope this warning help you guys. Im just so blessed God made me see things, others often take for granted. be very careful with your hard earned money.

    nabili ko yung nikon d5000 ko sa henrys ng 29k..pero bumili pa ako ng uv filter at pina upgrade ko yung mem.card sa 8gig.sulit ang d5000 kesa mag d90 ka.kung frst dslr nyo plang sulit na sulit. . .knina bumili ako sb 600 tska batt grip.at 55-200mm.kaya bihis na bihis na.mas malupet pa sa d90 mo itot kaya wag ka magmagaling!!

    stores such as henry’s and mayer are legit.henry’s offers 2 yrs columbia warranty on canon cameras and mayer also offers service warranty on their nikon and other brands.if you’re planning to buy a dsrl then all you have to do is to read first for reviews of the model you wish to buy, compare the specs and choose the cam that will suits you.

    ang entry dslr sa opinion ko e para sa mga beginners na gusto mgshift from point n shoot to dslr. may classifications p kasi ang dslr like sa nikon e may dx at fx dslr. these cameras are much cheaper than the high end dslr in the market but has or similar features. user friendly din siya ksi andun na lahat un kelngan mo unlike s pro level na mejo komplikado. kumbaga sa oto, same make kunwari toyota corolla. same sila model na corolla but the other one is fully automatic unlike the same model which is not like power windows,power doors,etc. sana nakatulong.

    sa brand new issue naman,oo brand new ang binebenta dun lalo na sa mayer’s at henry’s ewan ko lang sa iba.twice na kasi ako bumili sa mayer, d3000 and d90.bago mo naman siya bayaran e papahawakan naman syo para itest.pero bago ka bumili e magbasa ka muna ng mga reviews,wag padalos dalos para sulit ang pera.

    The tool versus toy information twigged my thinking. I’m looking for a replacement for my SONY dsc-S75 i always have had since 2001. It is a terrific camera.     twice na akong nakabili ng camera sa hidalgo, una is nikon d3000 w/kit lens at nikon d90 body, nakabili na din ako dun ng lens tamron 18-200mm, printer at backdrop stand. eto na lang simple explanation ko about sa gray market, gaya dati non nokia phones pa ang sikat dumadayo pa tayo sa greenhills para bumili ng phone kasi mas mura dun unlike sa ibang stores. kapag may sira ang unit e kelngan mo ibalik sa store para ipagawa kapag under warranty pa, same thing sa camera sa hidalgo, kpg wala siya cdsc e d mo siya pede iparepair sa mga service centers kundi dun lang s store kung san mo siya nabili kasi d siya cover ng warranty ng cdsc. tsaka halos lahat naman ngayon e made in china na kahit nga iphone d ba.

    I’m planning to go to quiapo to personally check the dslr there. I would really want to buy a camera with movable LCD Screen just like canon 650D and 60D. But I really know that Nikon D90 is really good. May I know your insight about these cameras and what would be the best?
