Globe Duo Mobile And Landline In One

I’m planning to avail Globe’s newest service called “Duo.” Globe Duo is available to all postpaid and prepaid Globe subscribers. For prepaid subscribers, you need to purchase a special DUO Prepaid SIM, available at a Globe Business Center or select retail partners in NCR or Cebu. For postpaid, DUO service is P399/30days on top of a Globe Plan. This service is initially available in NCR and Cebu until September 30, 2009 only. All calls outside the area code for NCR (02) and Cebu (032) will be charged regular mobile or NDD rates.

How does Globe DUO Postpaid work?

1. Subscription to DUO Service is P399/30days on top of a Globe Plan.

2. Once you are subscribed to DUO, you will be given your DUO landline number. Your mobile phone will now have two (2) numbers:

* • Your current mobile number (ex. 0917-XXX-XXXX)
* • Your DUO landline number (ex. 02-XXX-XXXX)

3. Upon activation, you can now make the following calls free of charge:

* • Your DUO phone to any landline
* • Any landline to your DUO phone
* • Your DUO phone to another DUO phone

Calls made to other mobile numbers or landlines outside the covered area/s are charged regular mobile rates.

4. To call any landline: dial area code + landline number.

To call another DUO number: dial area code + DUO number of person you are calling.

How does Globe DUO Prepaid work?

1. Subscription to DUO Service is P25/ day, (NEW!), P 450 for 30 days (NEW!), P125/5 days or P350/14 days, charged to your load.

2. Once you are subscribed to DUO, you will be given your DUO landline number. Your mobile phone will now have two (2) numbers:

ok na ok ang duo service ng globe, laki ng na slash sa monthly bill ko, from previous 1,500 monthly bill (500 subscription plan) ngayon, 900 na lang, i just added 400 pesos on my monthly plan. my cellphone need not suicide anymore dahil naka duo na siya!

mas convenient nga may sariling landline sa phone, kakatamad sa bahay i pick up ung phone kasi nasa 2nd floor siya at least pag duo, pag may naghanap sayo at tumawag sa landline, surely ikaw makakasagot kasi katabi mo lang ang phone mo!

well i just subscribed to globe duo using my prepaid globe phone last oct 11, 5pm. i can receive calls from pldt landlines, but not the other way around. i thought this issue was already fixed. bayantel lines work well though. i called globe and they said after the complaints during the past month, the duo to pldt issue was already resolved. called their cust service for 3 times, and the rep who last talked to me said to wait for 3-5 days before it gets serviced. according to her, to enjoy and make ‘sulit’ (her term) use of the globe duo subscription, i should call instead bayantel lines. and i was like, omg, you’re telling me to make the most out of it by calling bayantel lines while all i need to call are business lines which are mostly pldt? well it’s their cust service rep.

and my subscription is 1 month, since i joined without qualms. what if the subscription is less than 3-5 days? then everything went to nothing? until now, oct 13 7am, i still can’t call pldt lines. globe doesn’t deliver, at least on my end. so frustrating.

My 1mo Globe Duo plan is not working again; worked for only 1.5 days in the past 6 days. after 5 complaints, think i’m done. i’m giving up.

Globe Duo is a great, innovative idea, but an unreliable service. 450 went to nothing, with lost transactions and other economic costs. sad.

maybe it’s only good for postpaid subscribers.
