2009 Independent Spirit Awards Winners And Results

The 2009 Independent Spirit Awards will be held on February 21 in a tent on the beach Santa Monica. It’s twenty-forth year celebration honoring films made by filmmakers who embody independence and who dare to challenge the status quo. Alec Baldwin will be a presenter at the ceremony and Steve Coogan will serve as Master of Ceremonies. The 2009 Spirit Award will be broadcast live and uncut on IFC at 5pm ET/2pm PT. The Spirit Awards is produced by Film Independent, a non-profit membership organization that champions independent film and supports a community of artists who embody diversity, innovation, and uniqueness of vision.
